Ken Nilsson
Producer, Co-writer

Ken was seven years old when he wrote his first screenplay, a sequel to the blockbuster hit, E.T. Ten years later, Ken came across those dusty pages and realized that he knew what he wanted to do with his life; and he's been doing it ever since. While attending Columbia College, Ken became the first student to receive the Panavision First Time Director Grant. After graduating in 1996, Ken moved right into Chicago's production scene doing everything he could to learn from the best in the business.

It wasn't long before Ken made a name for himself with his compelling video work, shooting and editing "behind-the-scenes" packages for feature films and high profile commercials including the recent Michael Jordan vs. Himself Gatorade commercial which was seen on Extra, Access Hollywood, and SportsCenter, just to name a few. His work also includes camera and lighting for high-end press junkets for celebrities such as Tom Cruise, John Travolta, Steven Spielberg, Nicholas Cage, Harrison Ford, Penelope Cruz, and Wesley Snipes.

Recently, Ken has produced several groundbreaking productions including; Female Dogs, a 30 minute short the Chicago Tribune called, "a high energy project…funny dialogue and believable ensemble acting…a must see," and One Shot, a feature length film shot in one day, in one shot, for one dollar which premiered at the Navy Pier IMAX Theatre in June 2001.

Ken has also produced several pilot television programs including Celebrity, the Game Show, based on the popular charades-like game, and most recently Where Da Party @, a fantasy realization program where college party goers are surprised with fantastic party upgrades, care of the Where Da Party @ crew. The series is currently being considered by MTV for an upcoming season.

Ken has worked with X-Ray Productions from its early days and has built a strong relationship with Lance Catania. Realizing a mutual passion for the horror/thriller genre, in addition to sharing a similar creative vision, together they have penned a screenplay that mixes their individual talents to create an extremely successful film.
