Ana Maria Alvarez was born in Evanston, IL to parents of Cuban descent. She received her BFA in Theatre from Southern Methodist University. She the pursued a career in theater New York, during which time she was a member of El Repertorio Espanol, The Light Opera of Manhattan and The New York Gilbert & Sullivan Players. Film Credits include The Fugitive and Change by Juan Frausto. TV credits include principal roles in Early Edition and Unsolved Mysteries.

Ana Maria has appeared in various TV commercials, on-cam industrials, and has voiced many TV and radio spots, several industrial narrations, and toys and games in English and in Spanish. Happily married to Ernie Valenzuela, they are parents of three loving daughters
