Daniel Patrick Sullivan spent ten years on the Chicago area stages appearing in productions of A Long Day's Journey into Night, The Real Thing, Inherit the Wind, A Voice on the Prarie, Brighton Beach Memoirs, Biloxi Blues, Broadway Bound, A Country Girl, Arms and The Man, The Importance Of Being Earnest, Sly Fox, As You Like It, and The Taming of The Shrew.

In 1987 Daniel came to Chicago to appear in the International Theater Festival's production of A Whistle in The Dark, directed by noted Irish playwrite and novelist, Tom Murphy, following a three-year residency in New York City where he began focusing on large and small screen projects. Briefly appearing in Soap Dish as a young Kevin Klein, Bonfire of the Vanities, Regarding Henry, Alice, and other unreleased gems. At this time he also began working in various 30-second movies for the likes of Miller, McDonalds, Budweiser, and Chrysler.

Returning to Chicago for a production of Prelude To A Kiss with Barbara Harris, Six Degrees Of Seperation with Marlo Thomas and Othello with Harry Lennix, Sheldon Patinkin's Of Mice and Men, Dancing at Lugnasa, and The Grapes of Wrath.

National and regional commercials include those for Mobile, American Institute of Architects, Sears, Kohls, Ameritech, Allstate, Washington Mutual, The Armed Forces, Marshall Fields, May Company, and more.. Film work in Chicago include Payback with Mel Gibson, CBS' Early Edition, Ted Lichtenheld's Personal Foul, Casino's Corner, and a few student films with Columbia College.
